our philosophy
The importance of a safe, drug-free, and supportive environment during early-recovery is paramount. Many people believe that abstinence from drugs and alcohol alone is sufficient to regain control over their lives, but experience and research has demonstrated that most individuals recovering from a substance use disorder need additional assistance developing coping skills, creating new and healthy relationships, and establishing prosocial, adaptive behaviors to promote lifetime recovery.
Ogden House Sober Living provides the support and environment necessary for promoting individual growth and enhancing motivation for change. We believe in providing social and structural protective factors to provide a safe environment for our residents to practice new skills, relearn healthy living habits, develop effective interpersonal skills, and explore their passions and pursue their goals.
